VSTEP expands its professional maritime simulation teamDate posted: 29-09-2009 VSTEP is pleased to announce the addition of Jaap Steenbergen to the company. Jaap joins VSTEP’s Ship Simulator Professional team on October 1, 2009 in the position of Maritime Simulation Engineer. Before joining VSTEP, Jaap was SHE-Q (Safety Health Environment and Quality) officer by SMIT Marine Projects B.V. in Rotterdam, a sub-division of SMIT International N.V., where he advised the management regarding all (project related) Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality matters including maintenance of the ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 management systems. RescueSim selected as state-of-the-art training tool for Schiphol airport’s emergency services. VSTEP’s RescueSim Next Generation project granted access to the development phase of the Dutch government's SBIR competition. Shropshire F&R Service (UK) uses the RescueSim virtual emergency platform for their high level gold command incident training. VSTEP will be demonstrating their recently DNV approved NAUTIS Offshore Vessel Trainer (OSV) simulation software and its RescueSim Port Incident and Offshore Incident modules at the International Workboat Expo from 29 November - 1 December in New Orleans.
