Prime Minister opens Europort '09 Expo using VSTEP SimulatorDate posted: 03-11-2009 During the highly attended opening ceremony of Europort 2009, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Jan Peter Balkenende, sailed through the virtual Port of Rotterdam using VSTEP’s maritime simulator ‘Ship Simulator Professional’ Europort is the second largest maritime exhibition in the world. The opening ceremony was attended by the ambassadors of all countries attending Europort 2009. Recent news RescueSim selected as state-of-the-art training tool for Schiphol airport’s emergency services.  VSTEP’s RescueSim Next Generation project granted access to the development phase of the Dutch government's SBIR competition. Shropshire F&R Service (UK) uses the RescueSim virtual emergency platform for their high level gold command incident training. VSTEP will be demonstrating their recently DNV approved NAUTIS Offshore Vessel Trainer (OSV) simulation software and its RescueSim Port Incident and Offshore Incident modules at the International Workboat Expo from 29 November - 1 December in New Orleans.
